Walk into any warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility, and you’ll spot them immediately: massive corrugated containers that dwarf standard shipping boxes. Workers refer to them as “Gaylord boxes,” and the name often confuses newcomers to the industry. These industrial-strength containers handle everything from bulk materials to large shipments, yet their distinct name seems completely unrelated to their function.
